Automation Forge Software End User License Agreement

Effective August 14, 2026

This agreement is between Automation Forge LLC, a New York limited liability company, and the individual or legal entity installing, activating, or using Automation Forge software. It governs the licensed application, its documentation, updates, and related components. Selecting “I accept,” installing, activating, or using the software means you agree.

1. Agreement structure

This master agreement applies to Automation Forge licensed software. The addendum for the product you use is incorporated into this agreement and contains product-specific responsibilities and limitations. Applicable checkout, quote, order, privacy, and third-party terms also apply. If terms conflict, the applicable order controls commercial details, the product addendum controls product-specific use, and this agreement controls general software use.

File Toolkit AddendumCopying, backup, recovery, encrypted storage, and customer data responsibilities.
FieldLink AddendumBACnet and Modbus commissioning, qualified use, equipment safety, and Evaluation Mode.

2. License grant and device limit

Subject to this agreement and a valid trial or paid license, Automation Forge grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to install and use the software for internal personal or business purposes. Unless the applicable order says otherwise, a standard license permits one active Windows device. Deactivate the old device before moving the license. Confirmed key recovery replaces the key and deactivates all devices registered to that license. The software is licensed, not sold.

3. Trials, purchases, and updates

Trial duration, price, device allowance, version entitlement, and renewal terms are those shown in the applicable product page, quote, order, or checkout. A trial does not automatically convert or charge unless clearly disclosed before enrollment. A future major version may require a separate purchase. Some updates may be required for security or continued online licensing.

4. Restrictions

Except where law expressly permits, you may not redistribute, sell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, share one-device rights for simultaneous use, circumvent licensing or security, reverse engineer, create derivative works, remove proprietary notices, provide a hosted or managed service without written permission, use the software unlawfully or maliciously, or misrepresent Automation Forge endorsement.

5. Ownership and third-party components

The software, documentation, interfaces, artwork, logos, and original materials are owned by Automation Forge LLC or its licensors. Packaged third-party notices and licenses govern their applicable components and control for those components if they conflict with this agreement.

6. Privacy, diagnostics, and suggestions

The Privacy Notice explains information processed for trials, purchases, licensing, support, diagnostics, and suggestions. No diagnostic or suggestion is sent automatically. Direct sending requires an activated license, displays or describes what will be sent, applies product-specific redaction, and requires confirmation.

7. Support and availability

Support is provided under the practices or written plan then in effect. Automation Forge does not promise that every operating system, device, integration, protocol implementation, adapter, network, filesystem, or third-party service will remain supported indefinitely.

8. Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the software and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, compatibility, safety, data preservation, or uninterrupted operation. Non-waivable rights remain unaffected.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Automation Forge LLC and its personnel, licensors, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages; lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, configuration, or use; substitute services; downtime; or interruption. Aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of US $50 or the amount paid directly to Automation Forge for the applicable software during the 12 months before the event. These limits do not apply where law prohibits them.

10. Termination, export, and law

A license may be suspended or terminated for material breach, fraud, unlawful use, payment reversal, or circumvention. You must comply with applicable United States export-control and sanctions laws. New York law governs except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. Unresolved disputes go to a competent New York court; private arbitration is not required. Unenforceable terms are narrowed without invalidating the remainder.
