Version 1.1
Privacy Notice
Effective August 14, 2026
This notice explains how Automation Forge LLC handles information across its websites, custom automation services, software, trials, checkout, licensing, recovery, support, diagnostics, feedback, and security systems. An applicable product notice, addendum, or written agreement may provide additional details.
1. Who this notice covers
Automation Forge currently offers its public website, services, and software in the United States to business customers and individuals age 18 or older. This notice applies when you visit the website, submit a request, purchase or evaluate software, activate a license, request support or recovery, or intentionally send diagnostics or feedback.
2. Information you provide
Depending on the interaction, you may provide your name, company, email address, workflow description, preferred contact times, uploaded sample files, purchase or billing details, support messages, recovery requests, diagnostic reports, and suggestions. Do not submit confidential information that is unnecessary for the request, full payment-card numbers, passwords, or private license credentials through general contact or support fields.
3. Website and security information
Website, hosting, and security systems may process an IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, form-security tokens, rate-limit data, and server logs. Necessary cookies or similar storage may be used for security, form handling, checkout, or session continuity. Automation Forge does not use advertising trackers or sell browsing information for targeted advertising.
4. Checkout, licensing, and recovery
Trials, purchases, activation, device management, and recovery may process a customer email, product identifier, license status and verification data, encrypted activation token, hashed device fingerprint, device label, operating-system and application version, timestamps, IP address, and security events. Stripe processes hosted payment and billing information; Automation Forge software and servers do not receive complete payment-card numbers.
5. Information processed by installed software
Files, paths, job content, operational records, equipment or system data, local settings, credentials, logs, indexes, and other content handled by installed software remain on systems selected by the user unless a feature clearly asks the user to transmit specific information. Current released desktop applications do not automatically upload customer work content or include advertising analytics. Product documentation or an applicable addendum describes any product-specific behavior.
6. Diagnostics and feedback
Unexpected-error reports are created locally first and are not sent automatically. When a user expressly confirms direct delivery, Automation Forge receives limited application and runtime context plus a redacted technical error. Diagnostic controls are designed to exclude or redact customer content, credentials, email addresses, license keys, activation tokens, fingerprints, network identifiers, and sensitive paths. Confirmed feedback sends the user-entered message with limited product and version context. An email fallback uses the email provider chosen by the user.
7. How information is used
Automation Forge uses information to respond to requests, review and deliver custom work, provide trials and purchases, process payments, issue and validate licenses, manage devices, recover keys, provide updates and support, investigate errors, receive suggestions, secure systems, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain accounting records, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
8. Service providers and disclosure
Information may be provided to vendors that perform services on Automation Forge's behalf, including Stripe for payment processing, SiteGround for hosting and email infrastructure, Cloudflare for security controls, and Microsoft Azure for application relay services. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, business service providers, or authorities when reasonably necessary for operations, security, legal claims, compliance, or a valid legal request. Automation Forge does not sell personal information or customer work content.
9. Retention
- Purchase, payment, and tax records: generally 7 years
- License and customer records: the active relationship plus up to 7 years
- Trial records: generally 2 years
- Project inquiries, support, feedback, and related correspondence: generally 2 years after resolution or the last meaningful interaction
- Security, IP, abuse-prevention, and rate-limit logs: generally up to 90 days unless an incident requires longer preservation
- Failed temporary diagnostic-delivery data: no more than 30 days
Information may be kept longer when required by law, needed to complete a requested service, resolve a dispute, investigate abuse, enforce an agreement, or preserve a legal claim. Data may be deleted or de-identified earlier when it is no longer reasonably needed.
10. Your choices and requests
You may choose not to submit optional information, decline direct diagnostic or feedback delivery, use an available email fallback, deactivate supported devices, and request verified access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you. Some information cannot be deleted when it must be retained for transactions, security, fraud prevention, licensing integrity, legal compliance, or legal claims. Automation Forge will verify a request before disclosing or changing account or license information.
11. Security and external services
Safeguards include HTTPS, signed requests, least-necessary data handling, rate limits, device binding where applicable, administrator two-step verification, access controls, application-level encryption for customer email addresses, one-way keyed hashes for exact email lookup, encrypted database backups, and Windows user-scoped encryption for supported local secrets. Payment-card data remains with Stripe. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, and encryption does not eliminate every risk. Links to Stripe or other external services are also governed by those providers' privacy notices.
12. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when products, services, vendors, legal requirements, or data practices change. The version and effective date identify the current published notice. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate website, product, or customer notice when required.
