FieldLink Configurator Addendum

This addendum is part of the Automation Forge Software EULA and applies specifically to FieldLink Configurator, its documentation, updates, and related components.

Qualified use and equipment safety

FieldLink reads and can write BACnet and Modbus device configuration. Incorrect addresses, baud rates, object values, register values, wiring, network settings, or imported data can interrupt communications, change control behavior, damage equipment, or create unsafe conditions. FieldLink is a technician tool, not a safety controller or substitute for engineering judgment.

You are responsible for using qualified personnel; obtaining authorization; following manufacturer instructions, site procedures, lockout/tagout rules, and applicable codes; confirming the correct device and network; backing up before changes; reviewing every proposed write; keeping personnel and equipment in a safe state; and verifying operation after changes. Do not rely on the software for emergency, life-safety, protective, or autonomous control.

Trial Evaluation Mode

The 14-day free trial runs in Evaluation Mode. Reading, discovery, CSV review, backups, exports, reports, and help remain available. Server-enforced allowances permit one verified card-program operation, one verified address or settings change, and five verified BACnet or Modbus point writes. Failed, no-op, or unverified operations release their temporary reservation. Paid and authorized developer licenses are not subject to Evaluation Mode allowances.

Local operational information

Device values, imported file contents, adapter details, and operational data remain local. No diagnostic or suggestion is sent automatically. Direct sending requires an activated license, previews the redacted content and destination, and requires confirmation. BACnet and Modbus values, CSV content, credentials, email addresses, license keys, tokens, and fingerprints are excluded or redacted from direct delivery.
